We are a leading producer in Japan and the first company globally to use a fermentation process to mass-produce this most typical component of umami, L-Monosodium Glutamate. Flavor enhancers form the base of all Japanese, Chinese and Western dishes these days, being used in a wide range of products from processed foods to restaurant dishes. Flagship products GLUACE and RIBOTIDE have played a long and significant role in the development of the Japanese food industry, being core products of our parent companies Kyowa Hakko Food Specialties and Kirin Food-Tech. Going forward, we will continue to promote healthy eating habits through stable supply of essential umami seasonings to the food industry.

We produce a range of yeast extracts, hydrolyzed proteins, easy-to-use blended seasonings using these ingredients and flavor enhancers, and other seasonings that give foods a rich flavor. There are many different amino acid patterns in these products that have their own unique flavor and help to create a foundation for the great taste of different foods. Other ingredients in this business category that use yeast cells include yeast cell wall and yeast extract fermentation medium.

In addition to just being delicious, processed foods must meet various requirements including better texture and appearance, ready to eat properties, extended shelf life, and suitability for processing. MCFS provides a wide range of products to meet those diverse customer's needs. For example, various thickening agents and texture improvers are provided for better water retention and overall texture improvement as well as many types of emulsifiers are supplied to bakery industry and Tofu industry where those emulsifiers are indispensable. MCFS also has many functional ingredients for health conscious customers.
